So today we went for a long walk from Wyke up to the top of Portland and stopped at Heights Hotel for a spot of lunch, not only are there great views but also great food, we both went for the ploughmans and a pint, £20 each, would be rude not to!

Great service from friendly staff, lovely looking platter of food which did the job after a long walk. Would have preferred some crusty bread but that's just my preference, perhaps a bit more ham, but other than that, loved it, still aiming to try out the Sunday Carvery!

Popped back to Nosh Neighbourhood Bistro for lunch today, service was spot on and the food delicious. We both went for The Italian, one on focaccia the other in a wrap with a side of rosemary fries. Freshly made, very tasty, a great flavour combo, highly recommend!

So this morning we ventured down to Hope Square to try out breakfast at the newly opened Nosh Neighbourhood Bistro. It’s a great location, the sun was shining so it was lovely to sit outside for our breakfast. There is no table service so you need to pop inside to place your orders. I opted for the Nosh Breakfast (full English) and Scott went for the shakshuka, along with a latte and a peppermint tea (no decaf option of coffee at the moment).

The breakfasts were tasty, nice quality sausages and thick cut bacon. The shakshuka was nicely seasoned but the egg was overcooked so no runny yolk to mix into the dish but there was plenty of bread to mop up the tomatoes with. Decent value for money but we did have to wait around 45 minutes for our food and it arrived after we chased it up after noticing people who ordered after us had received their food. Will we go back, yes but will give it a while and let them sort out any teething issues they may have, it’s early days but definitely a great addition to the area and we shall look forward to trying their burgers one lunchtime.
