Welcome to a unique shopping experience.....

In 2006 I left University with a BA (Hons) in Interior & Spatial Design. I started
my first design job with Abacus Interiors in Harrogate as a Bathroom and Kitchen
Designer where I stayed for 5 years. During this time I thoroughly enjoyed being
involved with every stage of designing through to completion of quality
bathrooms and kitchens to our custo

mers. In 2007 my parents Mark & Jenny Rooke opened Beadlam Grange Farmshop
& Tearoom located in converted, redundant farm buildings integrating the former
foldyard on our family farm. They have created a unique farm shopping and dining
experience and steadily gained an enviable reputation for excellent food and drink
served with genuine Yorkshire hospitality in lovely surroundings. I have been
involved with the Farmshop & Tearoom's development from the beginning,
at first helping out at weekends and holidays but then employed
full time as Farmshop Manager. Now in its 8th year the business continues to grow from strength to strength. In
the meantime Mum and I then decided that a wonderful Gift and Interior Shop with
a country style would be a valuable addition to the site and it would allow me the
opportunity to work at something that I am passionate about and so "Robert &
Ruby" (Distinctive Gifts & Interiors for Country Folk) was born. Robert (Bob's posh
name!) is a handsome liver and white Springer Spaniel who belongs to my Mum
and Ruby is my pure bred, rough haired, tan, Jack Russell (an ongoing joke as
she looks more like a fruit bat x mini desert fox) She is such a character! On 1st April 2014 I opened my shop at Beadlam Grange. My aim was to combine
my love for beautiful home and giftware with my passion for delivering a truly
unique and memorable shopping experience. Although you will enjoy the beautiful design of my products, you will come
to "Robert & Ruby" for so much more. You will come to be inspired.
