2 in 1: When the T-shirt wears out, cut out the artwork and frame it for your wall. More than a T-shirt: Wear it today. Frame the art tomorrow.

Whispers of Home)
Acrylic and charcoal on round canvas
20 inches diameter
NK Art & Design
This piece came into reality while I was reflecting on my culture and the souls we’ve lost along the way. Those whose presence still lingers in our hearts and memories. In this piece is a young boy surrounded by Adinkra symbols with each one carrying wisdom from the past. He stands quietly at the center of light and color, like a bridge between yesterday and tomorrow. Through him, I see how our ancestors still guide us, how love and culture keep their spirits alive. In every brushstroke, there’s a reminder that even in loss, we are never truly alone. ⚫️

Title: Gye Nyame – Except for God
Medium: Mixed media (acrylic, rope on canvas)
Artist: NK Art & Design
Dimensions: 90 x 90 cm
Description: In this piece, I explore the intersection of tradition and material experimentation by using rope to form the Gye Nyame Adinkra symbol—an emblem of divine omnipotence in Ghanaian culture. The tactile texture of the rope creates a bold contrast against the painted canvas, which is filled with layered patterns inspired by African textile design and symbolism. This artwork reflects my ongoing commitment to integrating cultural heritage, texture, and identity into contemporary visual storytelling.

The woven baskets of market women tell the story of resilience. Each strand carefully intertwined like the struggles and triumphs of life. Though they bend under the weight of burdens they never break, just as the strong spirit of those who carry them endures.

This painting symbolizes African life, resilience, and the essential role of water. The cracked and whole clay pots, traditionally used for storing water, represent life’s fragility and challenges. The warm color palette—fiery oranges, deep reds, and earthy browns—evokes the African sun and the struggle for survival. The cracked pots reflect hardships, yet they remain standing, symbolizing endurance. The background, featuring a baobab tree, rolling hills, and a village, reinforces themes of resourcefulness and community. Through vibrant colors and powerful imagery, the painting tells a story of strength, struggle, and the enduring spirit of African people.

This center table is a brilliant example of sustainable design and cultural expression. Crafted from recycled materials such as raffia and worn-out tires, it showcases how creativity can transform waste into functional and artistic furniture. The glass top adds an elegant touch while allowing a clear view of the intricate raffia work underneath.

The featured Adinkra symbol, Sankofa, is highly significant in Ghanaian culture. It symbolizes the importance of returning to one’s roots, learning from the past, and reclaiming what has been lost. The symbol enriches the piece, making it not just functional but also a storytelling artifact that communicates cultural values.

This table stands out as a thoughtful blend of tradition, artistry, and environmental consciousness, making it both aesthetically pleasing and meaningful.
