I’ll be away for the winter so instead of posting cookies I hope to share some tips and tricks of cookie decorating made simple.
Build a cookie using transfers 🍂
This is the method I use when I want depth, texture, and volume — without worrying about icing consistency, bleeding, or craters.
While icing transfers have been used forever, they’ve quickly become a popular method of cookie decorating. And for good reason.
I start with one cohesive design, break it down into individual elements, pipe and paint my transfers, then assemble the cookie like a puzzle.
Anything broken down becomes easier to understand. Once you see the process step by step, it no longer feels complicated — it feels doable.
I hope this helps anyone who’s been thinking about using transfers or wondering where to start 🤍
Save this for later and make it your own.
