The name perfectly captures the collection’s unique aesthetic, where the unexpected interplay of material, color, and form creates a surprising harmony between diverse elements aged over time. Inspired by the discovery of an antique floor in a 16th-century building in Emilia, ALCHIMIA evokes the charm of colored concrete surfaces with a distinct terrazzo effect, enhanced by the marks of time that have transformed their colors and textures. The variety of painted aggregates, whether vibrant or faded, pays homage to wear, the passage of time, and its impact on the spaces we inhabit.

Each slab is made from interpenetrating mixes of different colors, crafted from prestigious minerals and clays. These materials are sustainably extracted and transformed using earth, water, and fire—without solvents, resins, or chemical additives.

Using patented technologies, the collection replicates the randomness of nature and handcrafted beauty. Multiple colored mixes are blended to create unique, unrepeatable patterns. Powerful presses and ultra-high firing temperatures produce a material that is hard, compact, and impermeable.
