BEDDER URBAN STAY
▪️
In one of Athens’ busiest streets, Patision Avenue, Bedder Urban Stay was born. “Here everything is Bedder,” as the Hypertria team behind the branding concept introduced it. Building on this idea, we wanted to take the concept one step further by adding our own perspective: the world of dreams.
Studies have shown that dreams are primarily black and white, enriched by four dominant colors: red, blue, green, and yellow. This became the foundation of the building’s color identity across its floors. The experience begins in monochrome and gradually unfolds into a dreamlike journey as guests move through the staircase and into the different levels. The blue floor embraces a cinematic atmosphere, focusing on wellness and the feeling of a contemporary spa experience. The green floor is inspired by nature, growth, and renewal. On the yellow floor, guests encounter joy, optimism, and playful references to emojis, while the red floor captures energy, vitality, and the magic of sunset hues. At the same time, we wanted to strengthen the sense of locality throughout the project by incorporating references to the neighborhood’s character through a contemporary aesthetic approach. All these elements continue, with a creative twist, into the interior design of the rooms, shaping a cohesive experience that extends throughout the guest journey.
Following contemporary hospitality design trends, where private spaces are minimized in favor of enhanced communal experiences, we transformed the rooftop into a blue-toned adult playground, emphasizing both socializing and wellness. In the shared spaces, we also introduced the concept of illusions, expressed through a refined and aesthetic design language. Technology — from check-in to keyless room access — has been seamlessly integrated throughout the property, meeting the demands of modern hospitality. At the same time, the presence and application of the logo across objects and design details subtly yet effectively reinforce the project’s identity. Through the design, our goal was to create an experience where locality, social interaction, and technology coexist harmoniously.
