The iHouse is a 28m2 housing unit which can operate independently or in a combination of two, three or four units. In its basic form, each unit has a balcony of 11m2, closed at the side and up, which easily can be converted into a main living space, increasing the usable residential space by 39m2. The iHouse system is the living proof of how quality of life can emerge within just a few square mete
rs. It is a small house, with a unique design, in order to offer large living space, which does not restrict the abilities and comfortable living of its inhabitant. This handmade house can be placed with foundations in any site and it can be transported anywhere on wheels. It can operate directly using public water, sanitation and electricity, but it can also operate with independent water tanks, wastewater tanks and batteries. The warmth and luxury that the natural solid wood exudes, features every corner and detail of the iHouse. The interior and exterior wall claddings, balcony doors, furniture, kitchen and bathroom, they all combine the unique and modern design with the classic and timeless value of wood. Internally, there is a compartment for the bathroom and the kitchen, the living room and the bedroom are in one space. The huge sliding doors when opened, remove the boundaries of internal and external spaces, giving a feeling of freedom and interaction with nature, while helping the natural ventilation of the iHouse. The LED lighting and the selected appliances, helps with the low energy consumption of the iHouse. The large concealed storage spaces in the floor, the bed and hanging wardrobes, help maintaining order and cleanliness of the space.
