Congratulations to Kevin Yeung and HKFDA on an outstanding VIRTUOSE: The Artistry of Couture showcase at the Hong Kong Palace Museum. A wonderful evening in Hong Kong, bringing together international designers and presenting two beautifully executed collaborative fashion shows.

The event highlighted the strength of cultural identity in couture — from Spain to Vietnam to Hong Kong, China — and demonstrated how global craftsmanship can be united in one inspiring narrative.

A fantastic show and a proud moment for Hong Kong’s fashion community.

Inside the MTR Anatomy of Movement

There’s a quiet beauty in engineering when it’s revealed, layer by layer. The MTR cab display showcases more than machinery — it captures the choreography behind Hong Kong’s daily rhythm. Every circuit, panel, and structural detail sits suspended like a time capsule, reminding us that seamless travel is never accidental. It’s crafted, calibrated, and continually refined.

For designers, this kind of exhibit is a rare gift. It turns infrastructure into inspiration, transforming functional components into a study of precision, proportion, and purpose. A reminder that even the most familiar journeys begin with unseen mastery.

At CLDW Studio, my art collection keeps evolving, but one piece remains closest to my heart — a rare IJM creation where a simple logo becomes art. Justice reshaped into form, advocacy distilled into presence. A symbol of protection transformed into a sculptural reminder that purpose, when crafted with intention, becomes art in its own right.

IJM x CLDW, International Justice Mission Hong Kong (IJM Hong Kong) hosts charity fundraising event, including the “Raising Hope” auction nights that support the fight against online sexual exploitation of children and fund rescue and restoration work in the Philippines. Last year, we had a special moment at IJM Night in our CLDW Central studio, where the IJM neon signage was part of the auction. I now have the privilege of the art of that piece — it hangs in my studio as a quiet, luminous reminder of courage, protection, and the collective hope we continue to raise together.

At CLDW, we love taking everyday objects and turning them into design stories.
For this family restaurant, we began with something simple — a Scrabble set — and asked a question that guides much of our work: What if design could feel like a game?

From there, the space started to speak.

Numbers that usually describe pasta size or pizza thickness became part of a graphic language across the walls — playful, informative, and unexpectedly charming. Guests don’t just read the menu; they read the room. The space becomes a living index of the food they love.

Scrabble tiles, once scattered across a table at home, are reimagined as tactile table tops. Families lean in, touch the surface, spell out memories. The dining experience becomes interactive, personal, and quietly joyful.

A bold logo anchors the identity, giving the restaurant a confident presence. Behind it, a glowing feature light wall acts as a beacon — a soft, luminous invitation that tells the mall what design can do. It can pull people closer. It can slow them down. It can turn curiosity into foot traffic.

This is CLDW’s approach: transforming familiar objects into design narratives, shaping spaces that feel warm, playful, and unforgettable.
A restaurant that doesn’t just serve food — it serves delight.
