🌱The Story:
For years, I have lived with nasal allergies.
While boiling locally gathered eucalyptus leaves to prepare natural dyes, the studio filled with their fresh, distinctive scent. To my surprise, my congestion eased, and the simple act of dyeing became an unexpected moment of relief.
The fragrance also stirred a memory for my Italian partner. He told me it reminded him of summers in his hometown, where eucalyptus trees release their scent into the warm air.
Although we grew up in different countries, we found ourselves connected by the same plant. That moment reminded me that nature often crosses borders more easily than people do. A scent, a colour, or a leaf can carry memories across places and cultures.
This artwork preserves that encounter, a story of healing, memory, and the quiet connections plants create between people and places.

A collection of one-of-a-kind botanical artworks preserving fleeting encounters with plants, places, and seasons. Part artwork, part specimen, and part story, each archive transforms an ordinary moment in nature into something to be treasured.
Every piece combines handmade botanical paper, an original botanical ink illustration, and a carefully preserved plant specimen collected during slow walks and observations. Inspired by natural history collections, herbariums, and personal journals, these miniature archives invite us to look more closely at the stories hidden within the natural world.
