【結他知識大考驗 — 正式開估！🎉】
上次問大家第一代 Baby Taylor 藏住啲咩「高成本特別結構」，見到大家估 Tuning Head 又估 No Binding，答得好踴躍！😂
呢個秘密隱藏得極深，淨係睇外觀係完全睇唔出嘅——
答案就係：Klein Style Arch Brace（Klein 式拱形背板梁架）！
💡 呢個結構到底有幾勁？
當年 Taylor 為了打破小guitar音色乾硬嘅宿命，不惜成本採用呢種極之繁複嘅工藝，仲要特意用實木 Maple 彎曲製作！
傳統結喺 Neck Joint 位置上緊弦線嗰陣，會產生一股向內嘅拉力，直接抑壓住面板嘅震動。但透過 Klein Style Arch Brace 呢種拱形槓桿原理，可以將呢股抑壓面板嘅受力，直接引導散開到琴身四周（Rim/Ribs）。
結果？面板中央可以做得更薄，震動得更自由、更大聲，音色自然更優美共鳴！
真係好欣賞以前 Bob Taylor 佢哋為了解決結他痛點、追求好音色而去做嘅堅持，而唔係純粹為咗工廠方便量產而取巧嘅設計。

【Guitar Knowledge Quiz — Answer Revealed! 🎉】
Last time we asked what high-cost secret feature was hidden inside the 1st Generation Baby Taylor!
We got so many guesses—from tuning heads to no-binding—thanks for playing along! 😂
Turns out the secret is hidden deep inside where you can't see from the outside... The answer is: Klein Style Arch Brace!

💡 Why is this structure so incredible?
Back then, Taylor went above and beyond to beat the tinny sound typical of travel guitars. They used this intricate, high-cost bracing design—specifically crafted from custom-bent solid maple!
On standard guitars, string tension creates an inward stress at the neck joint that suppresses the top board's ability to resonate freely. The Klein Style Arch Brace uses arch leverage to redirect those dampening forces away from the top and into the outer body rims/ribs instead.
The result? The center of the soundboard can be made thinner, letting it vibrate much more freely for bigger volume and richer tone!
I really admire Bob Taylor and the team back then for focusing on solving actual guitar acoustic flaws, rather than opting for cheap design shortcuts just to make factory mass-production easier.

今日工作室嚟咗一支好有份量嘅日產經典——1970 年代的 Ibanez Musician MC200！

想當年 FujiGen Gakki（富士弦樂器）嘅貫穿頸（Thru-Neck）工藝同木工細節，真係超級無敵好手工！入行咁多年，連埋呢支都只係見過兩支，每次摸到實物都依然好感嘆當年日本琴匠嘅匠人精神。

客人交過嚟嗰陣笑住講，話嚟緊會有個 Show，係一班爸爸組團「扮音樂人」開心 Play 一下。聽到呢度梗係要好認真咁幫佢做一次 Pro Setup！
由琴頸弧度調整、弦高手感優化，到上弦枕同電路全面檢查保養，通通做足。[cite: 1]

【Service Log: 1970s Ibanez Musician MC200 Pro Setup】

Welcomed a true Japanese classic to the workshop today — a 1970s Ibanez Musician MC200!

Back in the golden era, FujiGen Gakki's craftsmanship, thru-neck construction, and woodworking details were simply phenomenal. In all my years of lutherie work, I've only come across two of these, and feeling the craftsmanship in hand always fills me with deep respect for those legendary Japanese luthiers.

The owner shared with a smile that he’s preparing for an upcoming show — a fun gathering where a group of dads get together to "pretend to be musicians" on stage. Hearing that, I had to ensure this guitar got a meticulous Pro Setup![cite: 1] From neck relief and action optimization to nut and electronics inspection, every detail was carefully dialed in.

With the guitar perfectly set up, the playability is effortless and that vintage resonance really shines through. Even if it’s "just pretending," once you hit the stage and strike that first chord, the tone and presence will be nothing short of legendary. Helping our dad rockers live out their rockstar moments! 🎸🔥

結他維修隨筆 #887：【 2015 PRS USA Mark Holcomb】

今日處理呢支 2015 年產的 PRS USA Core Model。
即使是正廠系列，經過多年功能深厚嘅演奏，Fret 難免會出現磨損導致的高低不平。今次 Setup 的重點在於精密的 Fret Leveling（整平），確保在極低弦距下依然保持音色清脆。
技術觀察：

PRS 正廠的琴頸工藝確實令人印象深刻。琴頸結構非常紮實，而且 Truss Rod（鋼筋）的反應極其靈敏——只需輕微調節，琴頸弧度就能做出大幅度且精準的改變。這種物理反饋反映佢哋設計上的深厚功力。
將琴頸修正到適當Relief後，配合 20" Radius 的平指板進行Leveling，這支琴已經恢復了巔峰時期的手感。

【Service Log: 2015 PRS USA Mark Holcomb Signature】

Back on the bench today is a beautiful 2015 PRS USA Core Model. Despite the legendary build quality of PRS, years of dedicated playing had led to uneven fret wear, causing buzz issues in the higher registers.

Technical Highlights:

Precision Fret Leveling: With a flat 20" radius fingerboard, there is zero margin for error. I performed a meticulous leveling and recrowning to restore a clean, buzz-free performance at low action.

Exceptional Neck Stability: One standout feature of this USA Core build is the responsiveness of the truss rod. The neck structure is incredibly stable; even a minor adjustment yields immediate, precise changes in relief. This level of engineering makes fine-tuning a professional's dream.

Now fully optimized and back to its peak playability.
