I spent the whole of September moving from my old studio to this new one. And honestlyโฆ it wasnโt just hard physically, it was mentally exhausting too! I got โkicked outโ of the studio where I built my calligraphy business for the past 12 years.
I had to learn to accept it. Let it go. And move forwardโฆ FAST ๐จ !!! I always remind myself that everything is impermanent. Nothing stays the same forever. I knew Iโd have to say goodbye one dayโฆ I just didnโt think it would happen so suddenly.
But Iโm really glad for this change. My new studio is more spacious, still close to the city center, and Iโm genuinely excited for this new journey!!!
After 12 years in the same place, I somehow accumulated so much stuff! But I managed to clear at least half of it!
Taking down the โWall of Fameโ in my old studio was emotional. It was filled with work my teachers and friends wrote to me over the past decade.
All the things I moved to the new studioโฆ yeah, there was still a mountain of stuff ๐ฑ
Goodbye, my old studio and thank you for 12 years of love and happy memories. Thousands of students learned calligraphy here!
I feel so lucky to find this spacious spot after viewing more than 20 units!
My new studioโbefore I moved in!
My new studioโafter I moved in! Featuring my signature orange accent wall and brand-new wood floor tiles!
Day 1 of moving into the new place. It was a mess!
Unpackingโฆ and then unpacking again! ๐
Itโs been way easier because I had already categorised all my boxes before moving in.
Me building the new sofa!
A cosy corner with the new sofa and speakers gifted by my dad!
Ta-dah! My new studio is ready for more calligraphy workshops and tattoo services too ๐๐ปโโ๏ธ
