As Australian culture background interior design practice, prefer ‘uncontrived’ styles - leisured, casual and authentic, rather than immaculate and formal design. We take our design cues from our lifestyle, climate, outlook on life and our surrounding environments. This often translates into free flowing indoor/outdoor spaces flooded with natural light and quality yet casual furniture. arctitudesign

Asked to renovate and redesign this private family home at Repulse Bay, we worked to remove clutter and excess elements. Now, the home has a light and airy expression, blurring the lines between inside and outdoors, while creating a natural and comfortable flow through the space.

The architecture is open and light, with a stunning view of the coast. Timber for the floors and light oak wood in the kitchen and built-in elements, not only suit the Southeast onshore climate, but also enclose and exude Scandinavian minimalism. Interior with a cosy and warm atmosphere contrast the otherwise open architecture to create a dynamic space.

At Repulse Bay Road, arctitudesign transformed an apartment entrance by setting back the original bedroom wall to create a generous arrival space. The reconfigured layout introduces a wider circulation corridor, a curated bench moment, and a dedicated backdrop for artwork—turning a simple threshold into a calm, gallery‑like transition.

Thoughtful proportions, refined materials, and careful detailing enhance daily movement while elevating the home’s first impression. This subtle architectural adjustment transforms the entrance into a calm, gallery‑like transition zone that enhances daily living. Thoughtful spatial planning, refined material choices, and a slow‑living sensibility come together to express our belief that good design begins the moment you step inside.

| purity - "stillness" and "order" | 「靜」與「序」|

The beauty of design lies in the "stillness" and "order" of space. Structured into a sculptural rhythm guides residents into a private, gallery-like circulation path; pure white ceilings transform all electromechanical and intelligent systems into a silent backdrop, allowing light and proportion to breathe freely. Combined with long-life British LEDs, the home becomes more durable, quieter, and possesses a timeless modern aesthetic.

Refurbishing a home is an opportunity to rediscover its original character while shaping a space that truly supports modern living.

In this project, we embraced the beauty of simplicity—retaining key interior elements that carry the apartment’s history and enhancing them through thoughtful, refined design. Rather than replacing everything, we focused on elevating what was already there, allowing the home’s unique features to shine with renewed clarity.

This refurbishment reflects our belief that good design is not about excess—it is about intention. When we honour what already exists and enhance it with purpose, we create homes that feel grounded, timeless, and genuinely lived in.

"Good design isn’t about size — it’s about intention."

And when intention meets the right materials, even a compact kitchen can hold stories, recipes, and the rhythm of everyday life.

On the white glass wall, an egg‑tart recipe became more than a recipe — it became a moment of living. A writing surface, a memory board, a teaching tool, a design detail.

"Single material, many purposes."

This is the heart of arctitudesign. We believe small homes can think big when every surface is designed to work harder, feel calmer, and support daily life with ease. A kitchen wall that writes, cleans, reflects light. Spaces that shift between cooking, gathering, creating.

| THE TRANQUILITY ART |

Good design reads the room before it speaks. At arctitudesign, we design a neutral timber bedhead that anchors the space with quiet confidence.

By applying correct human scale, resolving asymmetry, and using reflection only where it softens the geometry, we create a composition that feels refined, modern, and distinctly arctitudesign.
