I have been obsessed with Mozart’s requiem these past days. Today I fully understand the grandiosity of loss… my tungsten steel trimming tool passed due to gravity and stubbornness (removing the splash pan from the wheel, even though I noticed the tool besides, I carried on like and idiot and didn’t avoid the catastrophe. At least you left in style, my friend. Last piece you trimmed is this beautiful 3lt Fermenting Pot to be… kiln god may help us.

In Spanish, the word Contact is Contacto: con tacto. Literally, With touch. In close contact with clay is a sentence I hear myself repeat to people in workshops. Touch as specifically you can. I am so driven to explore this sense through the material I work with, not only while I work, where different parts of the body get involved, but how objects might be felt and perceived by lips, face and hands once they are in use. From all forms of close contact, hugs with the dear ones is a favourite.

On Saturday, Álamo studio opened the doors for a first celebration of creations and friendship. Colleges, friends and my mother and sister from Argentina made it to the event –that was epic. Yes, it is a space about ceramics and pottery… but what is the point of making things if they are not for bringing people together, dancing, laughing and expanding joy! Thank you to all that came. There is no way I have done anything like this if I didn’t count with an amazing group of unconditional people that do so much visible and invisible things around all my endeavours.
Our did move us into dance! Thank you always!

I’m so happy to gather with you this Saturday for the first celebration of Alamo Studio!
Fabulous Maki from will share beautiful bites, will carry us with music (and maybe into dance), and you, dear friends and family, will bring the magic that makes it all come alive and make sense.
It took a long while to build this space and many hands moved, shaped, and built things on the way. Thans to everyone who helped dream, organise, and create Álamo. We have no choice than to celebrate it together.
A special thanks to my soul sister—for her vision and her generous patience 💛
