SOLD — G-Plan Teak Round Extendable Dining Table, 1970s
Round when intimate, oval when needed.
A beautifully engineered dining table by G-Plan, crafted in warm teak and designed around a clever butterfly extension hidden beneath the top. The circular form highlights the striking radial grain pattern, while the sculptural cross-legged base keeps the silhouette light and open. Practical design, disguised as elegance.
In original vintage condition with light scuffs and small age-related marks across the surface. The extension mechanism operates smoothly, and the structure remains exceptionally solid throughout. The extension leaf is particularly well preserved, showing only a subtle variation in tone from decades spent tucked away. Worn lightly, aged gracefully. Equally suited to a Paris dining room or a relaxed Amsterdam interior built around natural materials.
