In the late 1800s, a ceiling was painted by hand for a Transylvanian church.
When the church was demolished, the ceiling was saved.
In 1910, Hungarian architect Jakab Dezsö had it reinstalled in his private residence and office in the heart of Budapest.
It almost burnt down twice.
It survived two world wars.
115 years later, two people fell in love with it.
And turned it into something that's never existed before.
This is NÁLAM — Budapest's first shoppable heritage home.
A creative space where you can let your imagination run wild.
And now we get to share it with you.
They don't make them like this anymore.

The ceiling that started everything — now something you can wear.
This silk scarf is a direct interpretation of one of the hand painted panels from our 19th century Transylvanian ceiling. The same floral motifs that Jakab Dezső fell in love with over 100 years ago, reimagined on 100% Italian silk.
70x70cm. Made to last. Just like the ceiling it came from.

It's crazy to think this video was taken just one year after moving in.

Now it's been 2.5 years since we first got the keys... and almost 2 years since we opened our doors in Budapest.

What started as an apartment slowly became a home, a creative space, a shoot location, an event venue, and somehow a whole community.
Still feels surreal sometimes.
