Mercy is an experience that sits between a fascinating premise and a careless ex*****on, presenting a scenario of algorithmic justice that gets lost in narrative contradictions and plot conveniences. Although the performances of Chris Pratt and Rebecca Ferguson offer some stability, and the tension levels are maintained by an effective score and competent visual effects, the movie fails to deepen the ethical implications of total surveillance and technological inequality. It leaves behind a somewhat confusing reminder that no matter how much we try to automate the truth, justice without the context of human fragility is just a line of code devoid of a soul.

Bridgerton is a period drama that surprisingly featured s*x scenes, but most importantly it also featured a diverse cast as well as modern music. My only regret though is that the couple could've continued the rues until the last two episodes, and them getting married would've been in the second series. But I suppose it is uncertain if there would be a second series, despite high praises from viewers. In any case, whether or not there will be a second series, the ending left this series on a suitable high note. The show was entertaining and the casts' performance exemplary, with very intriguing storylines and lastly the surprising twist on the identity of Lady Whistledown.

Synopsis

"Shelter" is, with one notable exception, a rather uninspiring action thriller. I'll start by saying I like Jason Statham, but really, for my money, the shining light in this otherwise rather dull film is Bodhi Rae Breathnach. She shines as the young girl Stratham sets out to save when she gets embroiled in his past life in the world of assassination and espionage. Looking beyond her performance, most other aspects of this film feel leaden, forced and predictable. Pacing is off too, with a lead-in that's far too drawn out for what is at its core an action film. In summary, "Shelter" does offer up a few shining moments that showcase new talent, but little else worthy of mention. A mediocre watch.

More drama than action, adventure, or sci-fi, but a good overall build-up to the coming movie. Pretty much every episode without a titan was trash IMHO, but it was simply because I was expecting to see more titans and learn more about them. However, if you look at the series title, it says “Monarch” - this is about people (an organisation), not about titans. That being said, some story elements were inconsistent, like regular humans surviving a building dropping on their heads and coming out with a “broken” leg that they can walk on without a cane? I've had a broken leg before, and I couldn't walk. So, regardless of my disappointment about the lack of titans, there were other elements that made this not live up to its potential. Lastly, a few of the episodes did well in giving the audience an idea of what to expect in the future film, and I'm looking forward to seeing it on the big screen.

By far the worst in the series and shockingly lazy, though I guess some of the kills were at least okay. But everything else was trash, I get that Neve Campbell and Courtney Cox (both served as executive producers) were there for the paycheck, and that's fine but you can see it on screen. Also, the inclusion of Mindy and Chad was utterly pointless and they looked like they didn't want to be there (wondering if they were contractually obligated); they weren't all that great characters to begin with and added absolutely nothing to the movie. For her part Isabel May was fine as Sidney's daughter and Joel McHale had some okay I guess but, and this goes to the laziness, it was obvious they made basically no changes to the script when Patrick Dempsey (wisely) turned the role down. But perhaps the most shocking thing is how bad the script was. Sure, Kevin Williamson was never an amazing writer save for the 1996 original Scream, but I thought the dialogue was so bad and the ultimate reveal was so dumb, with one being patently obvious and the other just laughable especially with the reveal of the haphazard motives. Before this, it was a tie between Scream 3 and Scream 6 of the worst in the series, but this one puts both to shame. No amount of nostalgia could save this. I have absolutely zero desire to see it again and hope they just let the franchise die. **1.75/5**

I recently watched **The Bluff (2026)** on Prime Video, and here is my honest take. If you are going into this expecting a groundbreaking story, you might be disappointed. Right from the trailer, the plot felt quite predictable, and unfortunately, the movie follows that same path without many surprises. However, where this movie truly shines is the **Action**. If you are a fan of brutal, gore-filled, and gritty combat, then this is definitely worth a watch. The visuals are top-notch and the cinematography adds a great atmosphere to the overall experience. There is a twist regarding the name **"Maryam"** and the **"Bloody Mary"** connection, but honestly, it didn’t feel impactful enough to save the weak storytelling. It’s a decent one-time watch mainly for the technical ex*****on and the stunts. I’d recommend it purely for the action, but don’t expect it to stay with you for long. A solid 6 out of 10 for the carnage!
