Do you want to optimize your exterior home design to be more attractive and reflecting your character? You are in the right place right now since I want to share some information about Exterior home design with you. When we design and plan a house we want to express our ideas, our idealism and ourselves in the home design. Consequently, the best way to do when we want to design our home as who we are is to emphasize the concept or the idea. when we want to make the reflection of the house as simple, then we just plan a simple design of the home. However, when we want the home reflect our personality and we want people to directly see the special thing of our home, then we must think the plan of our home carefully.

Planning exterior home design is a tricky job. Well, first of all, we must decide what do we want our home to be. Some people design the home very simple, just like ordinary homes which we can find it in every corner of the city. In contrast, some people design the home very stylishly and sophisticatedly. Some people design the home based on their preference, personality or inspired by their childhood dream.

Do you want to design your home as custom home that has culturally deep feeling of your origin but still you can modify many things to fulfill the needs of present style? You are in the right place right now since I want to share some information about custom home plans in this modern era with you. The most important thing when we want to plan a home inspired by any custom or culture is by adjusting the custom home plan with the environment we live. The first step to take when designing our custom home is to give high consideration on the climate of the environment we live.

When we live in hot temperature area, or we can say in tropical climate, it is not wise to build any custom home which is usually built in subtropical climate, and vice versa. However, we can make any modification in our custom home plan as any culture we want, but still we must always adjust the design of the building with the environment weather.

These following pictures show some custom home plan from Europe, old Mediterranean, Indonesia, Canada, Middle Eastern home, and so on. As we can see in one of the picture, the custom home in Indonesia, especially Javanese home as popularly known as “Joglo”, is planned as widely opened house. Since the climate in Indonesia is tropical and the weather is hot in dry season. Then, the design of roof in Javanese custom home is aslant. It is planned as the way it is to protect the residents from the rain water in rainy season. Another example is a custom home in Europe which has sub tropical climate. Since they will face four season and the difference among the seasons is very extreme, the plan of the custom home must be able to fit all those seasons. The wall of the home is very high and thick to protect the residents from the cold weather in winter and from hot weather in summer. Many custom home in four climate countries has chimney and furnace in their home as the tool to protect their body from harsh weather.

Well, it is clear enough about planning a home based on any custom or culture. The best thing to do is designing our custom home plan by adjusting with the surrounding environment.
