[FITOUT AWARDS 2026]….Delighted to share that we have been shortlisted for Fit out Project of the year - Hospitlity (Hotel) for our work reimagining the Moorpark Suite at the County Arms | Hotel & Wedding Venue Offaly

The brief was to transform the hotel’s ballroom suite into a contemporary hospitality destination that respected its Georgian heritage, responded to the character of Birr, and created a compelling
experience for a new generation of guests.

We really enjoyed our work on this project, and it’s been very rewarding to watch so many people share their special memories since its completion. If you get a chance to visit, you should….its really beautiful!

And, if you got this far, then you deserve a fun fact: this was our wedding song - 10 years ago, this week…. Happy anniversary Liam 👰🤵‍♂️

[INTRODUCING]….Rockbarton Residence

A home shaped around the rhythms of everyday life - places to gather, places to retreat, and spaces that invite you to simply slow down. Rockbarton is an exercise in quiet, considered living…..More to come soon.

Architecture: Eoin Gleeson Architects

I would also like to pay tribute to the builder of Rockbarton Residence, Mr Seán Duane, who sadly passed away recently. We feel very fortunate to have worked alongside Seán in bringing this home to life. May his work continue to enrich the lives of his clients for many years to come.

[The GLOSS]… Featured online today is my own home, completed back in 2019, and the first large residential space I ever designed. Prior to this, I worked predominantly on Commercial spaces - Offices, Hotels, Retail spaces, Schools & Healthcare facilities. Fantastic experience for what would lie ahead, and many design principles taken into this sector that I use every day. One big difference though, is the nuance, and the pace. Working with people on their home is a deeply personal experience, and it requires a very deep level of care, empathy and attention. Something I discovered I really enjoyed, and wanted to continue to develop.

Since then, I’ve worked with hundreds of homeowners on their homes, whether it has been a consultation, or a large project, and it has given me endless satisfaction to know that the work we are engaging in is meaningful to our clients.

[THE MOORPARK BALLROOM]… Earlier this year we completed the stunning renovation and reimagining of the ballroom in the historic Georgian County Arms Hotel. We spent a year working alongside the team, assembled from a wide steering group who would help direct the vision for the project, made up of the Management, the Construction team and a full cross section of the entire staff from front and back of house to ensure that all needs were met across this ambitious project.

In January, it was ready, set, GO as we had 17 weeks to deliver the project in time for the first wedding. Yes, the pressure was on, but the team were positive, skilled and highly focussed, and it was a great success.

Since then, it’s been beautiful to see clips and snippets of the memories being created there, as so many people have celebrated there. We are now continuing with our work in the hotel in other areas, and look forward to completing further works in the hotel 2027.

[INTRINSIC LINK]… A home rooted in the character of the traditional Irish house, reimagined for contemporary life.

Our aim was to create a home that feels intrinsically connected to its surroundings: stimulating the senses, calming the mind and offering a sense of warmth, familiarity and retreat.

[DESIGN WEEK DUBLIN]… I’m incredibly honoured to announce that I’ll be participating in Design Week Dublin this year. I’ll be joining Amanda Bone - Architecture & Design for my own Design Talk on Friday 19th September, where I’ll be sharing the story of Ashen & Cloud, the journey of building the studio over the past 8 years with its lessons and challenges, the milestones that have shaped it, and what comes next.

I’ll also be unveiling a new landmark project which we recently completed, and sharing a glimpse into the future direction and plans for the studio.

8 years in (today ☺️), it feels incredibly special have the opportunity to pause, reflect on the journey so far, and share it with the design community that has inspired us so much.

The countdown is on, and tickets are on sale!
