Someone I love a lot said this one looks like a San Francisco sunset 🌅 I really love the colour combination. It kind of reminds me of the colour of a reef too, coral and jellyfish against beautiful bright blue water. This one is made of hand dye dupion silk, delicate royal blue Chantilly lace silk chiffon in a dip-dyed ombre from peachy coral to to Sky blue, hand dyed Rayan fringe, a few hand beaded sparkles in peach and blue, and a Gorgeous royal blue braided trim.

It looks absolutely amazing at night And is a real show pony, perfect for a really special space

Wendell Berry was a fantastic poet and writer, but of everything he ever said I don’t think anything has been as prescient and on-the-nose as this. He wrote this over 25 years ago!

I hope we choose to live as creatures. Return to the tactile, the slow and sensory, the considered and challenging and creative.

I promise l’ve never ever felt more content than when I’m forgetting where my phone is while I plan and stitch and dye and create. Let’s live as creatures, not machines!

Rest in peace to Wendell Berry.

She left the world better than she found it, but it’s a sadder and duller place without her 💗✨🪽

Dolly Parton has always been an inspiration to me. I’ve been a little obsessed with her since way back in the 80s, as a child in a far more conservative Ireland. I’d hear adults scoffing at her OTT clothes and those b***s, and I’d always stay quiet, thinking she was the most gorgeous and glamorous and sexy and charming and delightful woman I’d ever seen. “I’d love to look like her. I’d love to BE like her”.

Of course I couldn’t be like her because who can, except her.

I had no idea then that she was also wiser than most, more talented, and funnier too. But I got to know that. And her spirit became an even bigger inspiration and guide to me than her incredible songwriting talent, her flashy, extra gorgeous style and her magnificent breasts 😅😅

I bought a “Little Book of Dolly Parton” many years ago, filled with some of her sweetest, wisest, funniest, kindest and most optimistic “Dollyisms”, and I have referred to it often when I’ve needed a little boost. Her self-assuredness is something I wish for all women and everyone everywhere.

Here are some of my favourite quotes of hers, straight from her beautiful mind and heart.

Rest in Peace, Queen Dolly. More is more x 💔✨
