I’ve had lots of new followers over the last few days so thought I’d reintroduce myself!
Hi, I’m Mary 👋
I’ve lived in Blessington, Co. Wicklow, for over 25 years with my wonderful husband and our three fantastic children.
My background is in IT and Administration Management, and I’m also a qualified IT Trainer. I stepped away from paid employment to raise my family, and once my children started school, I spent many rewarding years volunteering on their school’s Board of Management and working as a voluntary Office Administrator.
In 2017, a very difficult experience brought that chapter to an end. It shook my confidence and, if I’m honest, I withdrew from a lot of things.
By late 2019, I knew I needed a change, so I launched my own business creating personalised and organisational products. Despite COVID arriving shortly afterwards, the business thrived in its early years and gave me a real sense of purpose and satisfaction.
What I loved most was helping people bring a little more organisation to their homes and lives. But as time went on, I realised I was ready for a new challenge.
That’s where travel came in. ✈️
I’ve found another way to help people, whether that’s making more travel possible or showing them how they could earn an additional income through something they already enjoy.
But there’s a personal side to this chapter too.
I’m almost 52, and being in front of a camera has never been my thing. Despite having this page for over seven years, I’ve never spoken on my stories. I’m much happier taking the photos!
For years, I avoided being in pictures altogether. I even stopped meeting up with a lovely group of small business women after seeing a photo of myself on one of their Instagram pages. That’s how uncomfortable I felt.
Since joining the travel business in April, I’ve met a fabulous group of supportive women who have encouraged me to step outside my comfort zone.
And they LOVE taking photos. 🙈😂
I soon realised that if I wanted to be part of the fun, I’d have to get used to being in a few of them!
