After taking a lot of time to consider all our options we have decided to close the physical shop in Carlingford in September of this year. We will be carrying on with our online shop www.crystalantiques.ie

This will give us the head space and time to work on our plans for the next chapter for the business

So if you are looking for a bargain get into us every Saturday and Sunday from now until August.

There are some changes happening at Crystal Antiques. While we carry out a restructuring of the business we will only be open Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holiday Mondays.

Two pieces on contemporary art just on the website.

Modern acrylic painting on canvas, untitled by an artist named Holguin, created in 2006. This piece uses rich, textured earth tones to depict two women, likely of Zulu heritage, engaged in traditional activities like gathering fruit and preparing vessels.

An impressive and evocative painting measuring 30 x 40 inches.

Colourful Cubism inspired painting of a bowl of pears.

Very unusual and of large size measuring 48 x 36 inches, signed Joseph Mullan. He had a number of exhibitions across Ireland
and abroad most recently the Sean Hollywood art centre, Manor fine arts Banbridge, the Town House gallery Belfast, and the Waterfront Belfast .

A classic fireside chair, c1900, in a style retailed through Liberty of London,made of beech, decorative back splats based on Scottish School design, with a low seat, twin classic side rails. These chairs were made low to keep the occupant closer to the fire, a gorgeous piece in great condition, a really handsome focal pint to any setting, the dimensions are 20 inches wide, 18 inches deep, 12inches to the top of the seat and 36 inches to the top of the back.
