Cork Countryside Home of Colour.

Our final space was revealed yesterday when we heard the delightful news that this beautiful, colour-filled personal country family home has been shortlisted in the Living Space Europe Award for the International Design & Architecture Awards 2027!!

Next up!!!

The open plan area of our Cork Countryside home tour.

For this space, we wanted to keep things feeling light, but it was important that it still felt connected to the rest of the home. The walls were pared back, with soft sheer curtains allowing the natural light to flow through.

Floral and checked patterns bring in uplifting elements and visual interest, while still tying in with the design used throughout the rest of the house.

One of my favourite pieces is the antique display cabinet. The beautiful detailing and aged finish bring so much character to the space, while also giving the family somewhere to display their treasured pieces.

The result is a relaxed, characterful space that feels very much part of the home, but still has its own personality.

The formal living room of our Cork countryside home...

This room really speaks to the personality of the clients.

They wanted a space that felt special — somewhere to sit, relax and entertain, separate from the family living room (will share that with you soon).

We went for colour, pattern and texture, layering deep teals and blues with turmeric yellow, soft pinks and warm timber tones.

There’s drama, there’s playfulness, lots of lovely luxurious textures, but most importantly, it still feels comfortable and inviting.

I love rooms that aren’t afraid to have a bit of personality. And this one definitely does.

I’m delighted to show you this beautiful home I was working on earlier this year, starting with the hallway.

My client really wanted a feature in the hall - we embraced the unusual hexagonal shape of the space, using the flooring to enhance and celebrate the layout.

The patterned tiles flow beautifully into the dark honey oak flooring, with a delicate brass detail defining the transition. We added an antique mirror and a stunning console table to create a welcoming focal point, while the beautiful lighting and accessories complete the look.

The understairs area was also transformed into practical storage, with stunning in-frame built ins which has made a huge difference for this busy family and gives them plenty of space to keep everything organised.

The hallway is the first thing you see when you enter a home, so it deserves just as much thought and attention as any other room. It should have impact, while still feeling warm, welcoming and be practical for the people living there.

Can’t wait to show you the rest of the space!!
