As an artist one faces frequent rejection,and I have had my share of that including a recent interaction with a curator that should never play poker.. As a teenager the famous Island artist Hilda Wilanough gave me sage advice,"if you follow this path you will be poor the rest of your life." Poor in pocket but never in spirit. The pursuit of making art is done on a daily basis entirely for me, its an homage to the divine, and for no one else. If its appreciated thats a brillant validation which comes rarely. It has come with a work being accepted in the highly competitive Glebe Easter exhibition,with more than 700 entries. I am delighted and appreciated their vote of confidence thank you.
