NIXTOM transformed the kitchen area of an apartment in Smithfield, Dublin 7. The original kitchen was cramped in a narrow enclosed recess, dark, and completely separated from the rest of the home. We removed the partition wall to create an open flow to the dining area, stripped the old kitchen down to the bare walls, and rebuilt the space from scratch. A patterned porcelain floor now defines the kitchen zone, finished with a clean metal transition to the existing timber floor. White metro tiles with grey grout run behind the worktops. The client supplied the kitchen from IKEA, which we assembled and fitted, along with new track lighting. What was once a closed-off corner is now a bright and inviting part of the living space.
