That’s a wrap on our charity event in aid of the Bone Marrow for Leukemia Trust in memory of Declan.

A huge thank you to everyone who got involved, donated, volunteered, and showed their support. Thanks to the incredible generosity of so many people, we have raised an amazing €16,884.90

This achievement would not have been possible without each and every one of you. Your kindness and support have helped make a real difference while honoring Declan’s memory.

On Friday, we hosted a cake sale in aid of the Bone Marrow for Leukaemia Trust in memory of Declan Carolan.

A huge thank you to everyone who came along, donated, and baked. The cakes were fantastic, and we were overwhelmed by the support shown. We are absolutely delighted with the outcome and grateful to everyone who helped make the event such a success! 🍰💙

On Saturday, the Phloor team took on the Derrybawn Woodland Trail in Glendalough to help raise funds for the Bone Marrow for Leukaemia Trust in memory of Declan Carolan.

We want to extend a huge thank you to all of Declan’s family, friends, and Fingallians Gaa club who joined us on the day. The support, kindness, and community spirit shown throughout made the event truly special.

The day could not have gone better, and everyone involved did a fantastic job in helping everything run so smoothly. We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who walked, supported, donated, and helped make the event such a meaningful success.

Gráinne Kelly and Dave Kelly took part in this year’s legendary Ring of Beara Cycle to help raise funds for the Bone Marrow for Leukaemia Trust in memory of Declan Carolan.

Dave tackled the gruelling 140km route, while Gráinne conquered the impressive 110km course — an incredible achievement by both.

GLENDALOUGH WALK In aid of the Bone Marrow for Leukaemia Trust in memory of Declan Carolan

Phloor staff are walking the stunning Glendalough Derrybawn woodland trail (8km,160 metres climb) on the 23rd of May 2026. We would love to invite you to join us, all abilities are welcome. It’s a chance to share stories, enjoy the outdoors, and celebrate Declan’s love of good company and the craic.

General info:
- Meeting at 10am in the visitor centre car park on the 23rd of May 2026
- If the weather forecast is good, please arrive earlier due to increased traffic heading to Glendalough
- The walk will start a 10:30am
- Car park is €4 for the day
- Tea/coffee and food vans are at the upper lake car park, and we will be passing there towards the end of the walk

What to wear?
- Good hiking shoes or boots as it is a rocky path
- Weather-appropriate layers (light jacket or fleece)

What to bring?
- Comfortable backpack
- Water and snacks (energy bars, fruit, nuts-something easy to eat on the move)
- Sunscreen
- Rain jacket & hat
