we are delighted to invite you to our public listening event on Thursday 27”h November at 1pm at Soundtrack & Podcast, No 31
Dominick Street Lower (right beside Just Art It).

We will listen to Elena’s Window Story Number Two, followed by a short walk in the Westend, and we will have a refreshment together at the Christmas Market in Silke’s.

It’s Culture Night! Join us & bring a friend!💛

This year’s Culture Night, artist Elena Santos will be in conversation with visual artist Cecilia Danell from 7 to 9 pm The event will be accompanied by an exhibit of the Cecilia’s work.

This free, ticketed event offers a unique glimpse into the realities of the artists profession, and promotes the sharing of skills and experiences that can lead to a rich, creative life and career.

This talk is part of Elena’s Artist Working project, an open multidisciplinary project with the aim of highlighting the nature of the artist profession beyond the artwork.

Just Art It is delighted to partner with Galway City Council Night-Time Economy to present a special Artist Working Talk celebrating Bealtaine Festival, an Age & Opportunity Arts Initiative, and Ireland’s national celebration of arts and creativity as we age.

Join Elena Santos from Just Art It for two evenings of artist talks in Galway’s Westend this May, featuring insights from some of Galway’s most well-known creatives. These free ticketed events offer a glimpse into the creative process and the realities of the artistic profession. This event speaks closely to the aim of the Bealtaine Festival initiative, fostering creativity among older people through intergenerational collaboration, showcasing older artists, and promoting the sharing of skills and experiences that can lead to a rich, creative life.

Technical details: Artwork number 3 is a fourcolour hand-pulled screen prints. The gradient background was hand-pulled by 2 people at the time. Elena and her assistants, Karen and Lillian, worked perfectly synchronised for an optimal result!

Each print is 510 x 730 mm / printed with high quality water based inks/ on 300gsm Munken Pure Paper / paper source nationally. Edition of 40, signed and numbered by the artist.
