A passion project turned into a print 🩵

Being a past student of IADT Dún Laoghaire I spent many days admiring the beauty of the bandstand on the East Pier and last summer I finally brought it to life in paper model form (and then neglected to post about it…whoopsie!) A model I had been longing to make since I started my paper career and now it’s living happily in its bell-jar, and also as a print!

Do you have any fond memories from the bandstand? An icon of the Dublin coastline 🩵

The final product 💙

This was a really special one for me and I hope for the recipient too! So lovely to be able to work with Pres Kilkenny to bring their vision of a custom 3D model of their two school buildings (past & present) to life in paper ✂️

Personally I love the character and symmetry of this building. It was time for an upgrade and this building had to be knocked but it will never lose its charm!

The new and massive (Yes this is the miniature paper version but the real life one is huge!) Presentation Secondary School Kilkenny I couldn’t get over the upgrade when I had the chance to visit. An impressive modern construction and a fun recreation for me ✂️
