Here at KCDA headquarters we are looking ahead to winter months, future planning. So here are some dates for your diary:
🏫 Saturday 1st August, our School Uniform sale
🎃 Sunday 11th October, our first Halloween Costume Sale.
🧸 Sunday 23rd November, our annual toy sale.
🎄 Saturday 12th November, our Christmas Market with Live Nativity ✨.

Accepting donations currently for School uniforms, lunch bags, school bags, pencil cases, shoes and runners, coats and study materials. Please drop off items to the community centre, if centre is closed they can be left in the polytunnel.

1 space has become available on the 20th at the Killargue Community Hall 9.30am-4.30pm

You will make a Irish Skib/Ciseog or an Asymmetric basket from colourful willows, all materials, lunch and refreshments are included in the price (please let me know if you have any special dietary requirements when booking) €110 per person per class.

As school is coming to an end for some, please keep us in mind if your looking to clear out old school uniform bits, also accepting any study materials. Items can be dropped off to the community centre at any time and left in the polytunnel if the centre is closed.

KILLARGUE NOTES
NO YOGA NEXT WEEK (10th June)
Just to remind anyone who doesn't know, there's no yoga next week. Resuming the following week.

ICA AGM
The Irish Countrywomen's Association is holding its AGM in Killargue Community Centre on Wednesday 10th June starting at 7.30pm. The group is looking for new members so why not go along?

MUM'S & TODDLER GROUP
This group is becoming increasingly popular so if you're a young parent/grandparent why not go along? It's on every Thursday morning (except the 3rd Thursday of each month) between 10.30am and 12.30. €2 entry per week.

SENSORY WORKSHOPS
Sensory workshops will be running every Monday throughout July and August between 10.30 and 12.30. €5 per session. ✨ BOOKING ESSENTIAL ✨. Please contact Anita for more details on 089 446 6369

SENSORY ROOM AVAILABLE THROUGHOUT THE SUMMER
KCDA recognise the possible need for an alternative space for your child to use during the summer months and have set up a purpose-made sensory room. If you'd like to use of this room then pop a message up on KCDA page to book it.

Here's a new event....
Donate and buy School Uniforms in this fundraising sale. The idea is to donate uniforms, bags, pencil cases, shoes and runners in good condition and buy supplies that fit your child for the upcoming school year.
Taking place in the Community Centre on 1st August between 10am and 1pm. Purchasing prices will be LOW....that's the whole point!
If you've got donations then please leave these at the Community Centre.....but not in the rain please!!

WILLOW BASKET MAKING WORKSHOP
Taking place on 20th June this is a full day event which includes lunch. The cost is €110. Book your place by contacting Helen on 089 944 2206.

BONE FRAGILITY WORKSHOP
This event has been organised by the Killargue Friends & Neighbours Group and takes place on 18th June 10.30 until 12.30.

KCDA are planning another Killargue Calendar for 2027. If you have any photos that you think would be interesting to include then please send them by email to [email protected].
If uploading photos proves to be a bit tricky then please contact Anita on 089 446 6369, or myself, Janice, on 087 214 7453. This is an early call but it takes a good while to prepare the calendar so the earlier we start the better it'll be! Thankyou!

Killargue Community Centre is excited to share our sensory regulation room, available for use during the summer months.
This space can also double up as a relaxing therapy room for counselling sessions, 1-1 educational therapies or as a meeting space. If you would like to use the room any time during the summer - just drop us a message.
