Colour does not have to dominate a room to define it.

In this redbrick period home, Farrow & Ball Shaded White creates a soft, timeless backdrop, while the Preference Red island brings warmth, depth and confidence to the centre of the space.

Antique brass hardware, Dekton Portum surfaces and a hand-oiled oak bar add further layers of texture and character, creating a space that feels refined without ever feeling formal.

A contemporary scheme created within a Victorian home. Streamlined handleless cabinetry, painted in Farrow & Ball Black Blue, brings depth and contrast to the room.

At the centre, a standout oak island was designed with a floating effect, finished with exposed finger jointing and clean black detailing.

A bright, social space made for cooking, gathering and entertaining.

Designed and handcrafted by Shiels & Co.

Shades of Blue.

A calm and elegant renovation, built around the contrast of Farrow & Ball Hague Blue and crisp All White cabinetry.

The classic in-frame shaker design gives the room a timeless feel, while Dekton Limbo and Dekton Trance surfaces bring depth and movement to the space.

Behind the tall blue doors, a concealed breakfast station keeps everything close at hand and neatly out of sight when not in use.

The details that matter most are often the quietest.

The grain of the timber.
The weight of a handle.
The line of a framed door.
The maker’s mark placed where only the owner may notice it.

These are the details that turn cabinetry into craftsmanship.
Designed and handcrafted by Shiels & Co.
In the heart of County Laois.
For over 35 years.
