I nearly stood on this fledgling siskin yesterday so I picked her up and put her on a windowsill, out of harm's way. She was completely immobile and I hoped she was alright. Some time later I went outside to check on her and she immediately flew up onto my shoulder. She quietly stayed there for a few minutes and then flew away. A very special experience.
