Forgot to post this yesterday…
Great news for the Parish!
I have received my Free Transport Card. Due to my epilepsy diagnosis I haven’t been able to drive and I have slowly been losing my mind. I am now able to get bus to Dublin, anytime I want. It takes an hour… I’ll get loads of reading done on the journey.
I’m going to try it out tomorrow.
I will be going to GPO to buy a stamp. Said stamp is for a birthday card, of which I will choose at a leisurely pace. Birthday cards are s**t in Drogheda (true story).
I will be able go to matinees, the cinema, have trips to get coffee/lunch and buy towels in Arnotts bargain basement 😆
I will hop on the Luas and get off at places I normally never go to.
I shall hop on the Dart and go for a walk in Malahide Castle (where I pretty much spent my childhood. I lived across the road from it).
I will walk around art galleries and museums at my own pace.
I will go to random counties on the train.
I’ll reclaim my independence and treat Mr. Darcy to many, many coffees and cakes.
If anyone fancies meeting for coffee (or cocktails), let me know.
