🔥 From an old open fireplace to a modern media wall.

This project is completely transforming the room. We removed the original open fire, blocked the chimney, and created a brand-new stud chimney breast on a different wall to suit the customer’s layout.

The centrepiece is a Gazco eStudio 135R electric fire – a slim, contemporary electric fire that’s perfect for modern media walls. We’ve also built a recessed TV pocket, and the first-fix electrics are now complete, so it’s all starting to come together.

This is a great example of how you don’t have to keep your fireplace where it has always been. With the right design, you can completely rethink the layout of your living room and create a stunning new focal point.

✨ Creating a fireplace focal point in a new-build home.

For this project, we built a custom false chimney breast, installed a beautiful Carrara marble mantelpiece, added herringbone stone cladding and finished it with a freestanding electric stove.

Many modern homes don’t have a chimney breast, but that doesn’t mean you can’t create the warmth, character and focal point that a fireplace brings to a room.

The result? A stunning feature wall that completely transforms the space.
