Anne lynch 1949-2026
My mother passed away on Sunday night. After a very long and hard battle with Alzheimer’s.
She was an intensely private person and I am quite open, so I walk the line between honouring her and myself. But, I feel it would be remiss not to mark this on the grid and more importantly share the news with some followers I consider friends.
She was intelligent, determined, independent and occasionally formidable. She was funny and sharp witted. She ran 5kmx3 time a week and as she aged this changed to daily walks and litter picking. She rode a motorbike in the 80s and a horse in the 00s. She loved to garden and studied environmental science back in the 1970s. She never missed a day of work, carving out a career. She was santa claus, and the tooth fairy. She was an original " difficult " woman, a role I continue to keep up for her.
She would have hated this... she never liked events or a big fuss, she was very happy in herself... and we had all those things in common.
Business this week will be slower but goes on and any orders will go out next Monday.
Funeral: 10am Thursday Douglas funeral home, Ballynahinch, Co. Down.
