We are continuing a fitout of the New Build in co.Laois. It is our second site Brittas-2 for a family relocating from Seattle, USA.
This week we installed lots of various lighting coving types. 👌 LED strip lighting has a beautiful illumination but it needs to be concealed or dipped into something like coving for example 😉🙌
We used it for the stepped ceiling in the den, bathrooms, curtains covings and even stepped coving to give master ensuite a more decorative finish.

LIGHTING COVING IN INTERIOR 🙌

I often get asked about this detail, so wanted to give you a closer look at this product with the finished effect. 👌

The little detail that makes a big difference is the gap at the top. I recommend allowing approximately 2 inches between the coving and the ceiling to give the LED strip enough space to create a soft, even wash of light.

And this is the finished result… 🤍
A beautiful, warm ambient glow that illuminates the ceiling without exposing the LED source or creating harsh hotspots.
One of my favourite places to use lighting coving is the bathroom. It gives the room a really soft, luxurious atmosphere while still providing useful overall illumination.

It’s a great example of why we consider lighting as part of the architecture from the early stages of a project — not as something added at the end.

OUR BESPOKE DESIGN FOR COSBY AVENUE RESIDENTIAL PROJECT IN CO.LAOIS

It's a good example how multifunctional wall can be designed as one cohesive piece. 🙌

Three distinct zones, united by one aesthetic: a dedicated desk and workspace on the left, a bespoke TV and media unit at the centre, and tall bespoke storage on the right with integrated lighting and carefully considered display areas.

Rather than treating each function separately, we designed the entire wall as one continuous composition — practical, elegant and completely tailored to the way the space is used.

This is where bespoke design makes the difference: every centimetre has a purpose, while the overall look remains calm, balanced and timeless.

Our New Build Clonaslee-1 Fit Out is slowly coming to its completion. 😁🙌We still have a lot of dust to remove and finish the 2nd fix, but our bathroom is looking pretty complete. I really enjoy seeing them warm and bright just as the client wanted to see them.

I'm enjoying a quick moment of appreciation for the work I do before moving to my next project installation nearly immediately 😁👌

Btw, this project is very exciting to present to a client at the end of this week as they've never seen a house! We've been working on it remotely from planning and until now, when the house is ready to welcome the family from the States to settle down in co. Laois 🤗🏡
