This weekend, I’ll be sharing a new short story: “The Man Who Waved at the Dead.” It’s a tale stitched from silence, memory, and the strange kindness that lingers in forgotten places. Though it’s fiction, I’ve tried to stay true to the roots of my heritage. To the men who worked there, and the stories they never told.

A quiet thank you to my next-door neighbour, Siobhan and her dad Seamie, whose help brought this piece to life.

Keep an eye out. The dead don’t always stay quiet.

“She blessed herself as she passed the gates. The temperature dropped again. The screams returned. Ann looked into the graveyard, hoping to see cats. But something caught her eye. A woman in white approached the gates.”

What would you do if you saw her standing there?

Would you run? Would you pray? Would you stay and watch?

The Graveyard Custodian isn’t just a story. If you’re drawn to the strange, the sacred, and the shadowed, this is your invitation.
