O'Riain Pottery

O'Riain Pottery O'Riain Pottery was established in 1998 by master craftsman John Ryan. We are situated in the heartl They are cadmium and lead free.

Similarly to the past when Irish pottery was found on the tables of homesteads throughout the country, our handmade and manually decorated stoneware is offered to consumers looking for an alternative to uniform and uninspiring mass production. The special glaze makes our pottery durable, highly resistant to chipping, scratching and entirely safe while used for serving food. Due to the very high qu

ality, all of our pottery can be used in microwave, oven and dish washer. Only natural and ecological materials are used throughout the entire production process. After throwing, finishing and glazing all products are fired to 1250 °C (2280 °F).

Raku is an ancient Japanese craft technique. And the hands of Co. Sligo's O'Riain Pottery have created something truly modern, beautiful, bespoke and Irish for Coffeeangel HQ's 'Private Salon'... details matter 😇

Working from home today to prep a few workshops. Gives me a chance to try out my new cup, which I bought on holidays at The Quay Gallery in Westport, Ireland.

I have a bit of a thing for handmade ceramic cups, must be because I studied ceramics at university, and always admired the functional potters - I was never disciplined enough to take that route! This beauty is made by O'Riain Pottery, check out his page, where you can buy one for yourself!!
