What is the secret behind the best timber windows?
It's a combination of factors, leading with the best team of people. At Timeless Sash Windows we are proud of the team that we have that work together to design and manufacture, as well as restore, windows and doors.
We use the best raw material as specified by each client, and treat it with the respect that it deserves.
We ensure that each cut is made with precision and bonded carefully.
The glazing is ordered to fit exactly and the draught seal and finish is expertly applied.
This will all ensure a window that is made to last and beautiful to look at.
Like the old joinery that we refurbish to honour the original craftspeople, we expect our new joinery to last and be a legacy of the team that put it together today.

This year we held a illustrated talk and joinery tour at .
The theme of this year is "Heritage at Risk".
It was a pleasure to explain the history of windows dating back to 1680 and the value of conservation and restoration to preserve this built heritage for future generations.
Now protected under law since the year 2000, windows in protected structures need careful and skilled workmanship, which is an area that we specialise in.
During the tour we were able to show our visitors both the new and the old, with a focus on refurbishment of old windows.
There were plenty of interesting questions and it was a wonderful opportunity to meet so many people with curiosity around our Heritage.

Timber front doors can be painted any RAL colour.
We use Teknos specialist exterior joinery paint to ensure the longest protection on the timber possible. This is a water-based paint that is micro-porous, flexible, weather-resistant and antiseptic - all vital for timber.
We also refurbish original doors to bring them back in beautiful condition and conserving the original craftsmanship. As members of the CIF Register of Heritage Contractors we regularly work on historic buildings with best practise and advise clients on the best course of action with their windows and doors.
As part of a window package, we also manufacture new doors - bespoke designs that suit the openings, requirements, regulations and the character of the design.
It is a wonderful honour to work on the most beautiful buildings in Ireland, and you will just have to choose which colour will set the tone for your property!

Many homeowners are concerned about timber windows because of words like rot, warping, endless painting.....
They assume that PVC is the best option for our damp climate in Ireland.
However, many PVC windows need replacing after 20-30 years when parts fail and obsolescence beckons.

This is in stark contrast to high-quality modern timber windows that can easily last 60+ years (report by GF Menzies, Herriott-Watt University).

Yes, timber will need to be repainted to continue it's protection, but with modern coatings and rot-resistant Accoya timber, this only needs to be done every 10 years.

Investing in timber gives you the following advantages:
