There’s having a great 99…

And then there’s having a great 99 with unexpected live entertainment 😜

A little moment of joy outside … because sometimes the best parts of the day are the completely unplanned ones.

Sure why not 😎

Today’s reminder: be bold, be brilliant, be utterly unstoppable. Be you. Whatever form that takes. You are enough 💕

Protect your peace, polish your sparkle, and don’t let anyone dull your shine.

And definitely don’t let the twatwaffles dull it either 😝

“Experience is a hard teacher, she gives the test first and the lesson after.”

Wow, how true is that!!

And isn’t that exactly how most of us learn? Or is it just me 🤔

In business, in design, in life, we often only understand the lesson after we’ve been through the difficult parts, or at least that’s what I’ve found.

The mistake.
The pressure.
The deadline.
The project that stretched us.
The decision we weren’t fully ready for.

And here’s what I’ve found.
That that’s also where confidence is built.

Not from getting everything right the first time, but from paying attention, learning properly, and carrying those lessons into the next room, the next project, the next conversation.

Experience may be a hard teacher, but she is often the one that shapes us most 💕

I wouldn’t say I was awestruck… but I absolutely was.

Yesterday I had the privilege of visiting Leinster House on Thurs last for lunch and a tour of the house, the Dáil and the Seanad.

As a designer, I was fascinated by the details. The layers of history, the formal rooms, the working spaces, the sense of ceremony, and the feeling that if those walls could talk, you’d want to sit down and listen.

The Dáil was sitting while we were there, with a debate underway on an issue currently in the news, which made the whole experience feel even more real. Not just a historic building, but a living, working one.

It reminded me that interiors are never just about how a space looks. They shape behaviour, hold memory, support purpose, and tell a story long before anyone says a word.

A lovely, thought-provoking day, and definitely one I’ll remember.

Nothing like taking advantage of the train (even if you ‘still’ have to travel to the M3 Parkway), and enjoying a day in the city 🫶
Obviously it’s easier when there’s no buggy and the 13 yr old had no problem walking… but to be fair she’s always been like that 😍
We just chilled out for the day… walked streets for a change… taking in the sights and sounds…. Oh and the food 😋😋

Then back on the train 🤠
