Some new additions to my Etsy shop.
https://thecrafterscuriosity.etsy.com

I've put together a selection of vintage craft supplies, including pages from old books, maps, photographs, postcards and all sorts of interesting bits and pieces, in themed bundles for junk journaling, scrapbooking and other paper crafts.

I've also added some new handmade gifts, including my Irish Wishing Stones, which now have their own little folklore cards and optional gift boxes, along with beautiful decoupaged coasters, plant pots and placemats.

It's taken quite a bit of time to get everything organised, and there's still plenty more to do, but I'm slowly getting a nice variety of products together.

I've included a few photos of some of the things I've been working on recently.
The plan is to keep adding new and unusual finds alongside my original seashell crafts, so there should be a bit of everything as the shop continues to grow.

Anyway, that's a little update on what I've been up to lately.

Mary 🤎

🤎 BIG NEWS 🤎 IT’S OFFICIAL !!!

After lots of planning, experimenting and changing my mind more than once, I’m finally ready to share the next chapter.

Irish Seashell Crafts is becoming…

🤎 The Crafters Curiosity Shop 🤎

Over the years my little business has grown far beyond where it first began, and I wanted a name that would allow everything I love to sit together in one shop.
So rather than having my handmade crafts in one place and my craft supplies somewhere else, I’m bringing everything together and adding my love for vintage ephemera to the mix.

The Crafters Curiosity Shop will be home to a mixture of:
♡ My handmade seashell & coastal creations.
♡ Seashells & craft supplies.
♡ Genuine vintage papers & ephemera.
♡ Old maps, charts & interesting paper finds.
♡ Vintage photographs & postcards.
♡ Ready-to-use & prepared craft supplies.
♡ And all sorts of unusual little finds that I come across along the way!

The vintage side is something I’m particularly excited about. I love finding old books, papers, photographs and forgotten pieces and giving them another life for journaling, collage, card making, decoupage and other creative projects.

The seashells aren't disappearing either! They are where this whole adventure began and will remain an important part of my shop.

There will be lots of new things appearing over the coming weeks, and I can't wait to show you what I've been working on.

Thank you to everyone who has supported my little business so far. I hope you'll stick around to see where it goes next.

✨EXCITING NEWS…✨

Something new is happening behind the scenes at Irish Seashell Crafts…

Over the past few weeks, I’ve been working away on some big changes, new ideas and a whole new direction for the business.

I’m not quite ready to reveal everything just yet… but I can tell you that Irish Seashell Crafts is growing and evolving, and I’m very excited about what’s coming next. 🤍

There will still be plenty of the things you already know and love but there’s also something completely new on the way.
🌿🐚📜✨

All will be revealed very soon…

Another little piece of Ireland is off to the Czech Republic! 🇮🇪📦🇨🇿
This beautiful Irish coral fossil stone has been packed up and shipped to its new home.
Natural, unpolished and full of fascinating detail, it’s a lovely curiosity to collect or display.

My four-legged postal assistant Zoe was on hand to supervise the trip to the post office, of course! 🐾😂

It’s lovely to see my seashells, stones and unusual finds travelling far beyond Wexford. Thank you for every order and for supporting my small business. 💙

Have a browse through my Etsy shop for more natural finds and supplies for your creative projects.

Another look at what’s available from Seashell Supplies… 🌿🐚

As well as supplying natural Irish seashells, I also have a beautiful selection of hand-decoupaged craft shells.

These are individually decorated in a variety of floral, botanical and butterfly designs, with lots of different colours and styles available.

Perfect for:
• jewellery and trinket dishes
• embellishments
• mixed-media crafts
• coastal décor
• wedding and event crafts
• handmade gifts
• your own seashell creations

Because these are natural shells, no two are exactly the same, each one has its own shape, markings and character.

Over the next few posts I’ll show some of the individual design collections in more detail.

Did you know there’s another side to Irish Seashell Crafts? 🐚

As well as making my handmade seashell crafts and coastal pieces, I also sell seashell supplies through my Etsy shop, including larger wholesale orders for crafters and businesses.

This was one of my recent orders, a lovely big selection of Irish Razor Shells, carefully sorted, packed and prepared here in Wexford, and now making their way all the way to Denmark 🇩🇰.

There is something quite satisfying about seeing shells from our little corner of the Irish coast travelling off to another country, where they’ll hopefully become part of someone else’s creations.

From collecting and sorting, to packing each bag and getting the final parcel ready for its journey, there’s quite a bit that goes on behind the scenes!
