Our Story

In the summer of 2019, the three of us, Yair Chen and Raz students at the IDC Herzliya, walked around the streets of Tel Aviv and met Doron and Shahar, two local artisians. Shahar lives in a moshav in the north of Israel, and Doron lives in the Golan Heights. During our conversation with them, we understood their issues and concerns. Each of them described to us how much they felt satisfied with the work they do. However, they feel they cannot make a living out of their craft, without ignoring their values. ​​Doron and Shahar told us: "I don't want to be a factory. I want to create a unique limited edition craft pecies. The person who bought it needs to know that his product is a limited edition unique craft pecie". We understood the obstacle that Shahar and Doron faced. We did our research and realized there was no existing platform that gives artisans the flexibility and ability to create and sell their craft pieces on their terms. Besides, we realized that many artisans find it challenging to market and create an effective media kit for their carft pecies. The artisans prefer to concentrate on their craft rather than on selling. We wanted Qraftd to address these artisans issue, and offer them the complete solution for marketing and transferring value to the customer and reaching wider audeinces. Furthermore, Qraftd allows the artisan to sell his works according to the conditions he chooses.

We want to enable the artisan to create art and to work diligently to make a living and even to become a talent. We see ourselves as generators of change and instinct for freedom of work for artisans.

Qraftd lets the artisan sell his limited edition crafts in any quantity model he desires. Qraftd does not limit the artisans or dictate the terms of his employment. Qraftd goal is to allow complete freedom for the artist from all the processes that do not involve the creation.

By this, we believe Qraftd can make a difference and change artisan's lives.
