לא מזמן הופיע אצלנו בסטודיו צלם. ככה סתם, פתאום צלם. ומיד היה אפשר לזהות שהוא צלם, כי הוא נכנס עם מצלמה על הצוואר ובגדים בצבע חאקי ועם כובע רציני רחב שוליים של מטיילים, אז רועי ישר שאל אותו אם הוא אוהב לצלם ציפורים... דווקא לא ציפורים הוא צחק, אני אוהב לצלם אנשים עובדים, זה בסדר אם אני אצלם אתכם?

הוא הצטרף אלינו לשולחן וסיפר לנו על האהבה שלו לצילום, שגדלה מאוד מאז שהוא יצא לפנסיה, על התוכניות שלו לטייל עם המצלמה בעולם, ועל הצילומים שהוא עושה בחללי עבודה ברחבי הארץ, וגם סיפר שהוא דואג מאוחר יותר לתת את התמונות למצולמים, והכל מתוך האהבה שלו לצלם אנשים עובדים. הוא אמר שאין דבר מרתק יותר מלהתבונן באדם בזמן העבודה שלו, ברגע שהוא לא מחפש להיראות טוב, ולא מחפש להתבלט, כי מה שהכי חשוב לו באותו רגע זה לא הוא עצמו, זה הדבר שעליו הוא עובד.

אחרי שהוא צילם אותנו הוא הלך, ונשארנו לעבוד מלאי השראה, עם רצון מוזר, אבל דווקא דיי מוסבר, מצד אחד להמשיך לעבוד לנצח, ומצד שני לצאת לפנסיה.

The stage where we refine every piece by hand, working carefully with a knife, with sponge and water to smooth the surface, sharpen the details, paint with a brush and make sure everything is just right before it goes into the 1st or 2nd kiln fire. All the little finishing touches that help it come out looking its best.

רגע לפני שריפה, אנחנו עוברים ביד על כל פריט עם סכין, ספוג ומים, מחליקים, מתקנים, ומדייקים כל פרט קטן, מציירים או צובעים עם מכחול, כדי שהפריטים שנכנסים לשריפה ראשונה או שנייה בתנור ייצאו בדיוק כמו שעיצבנו אותם.

One of the colors in our Tulip Mezuzah Collection is "Timna Brown". Inspired by warm desert tones and reflecting the natural palette of one of Israel's most remarkable landscapes.

Timna is located about 25 km north of Eilat and is one of Israel's most remarkable desert landscapes, where dramatic sandstone formations meet thousands of years of history.

It is home to one of the world's earliest known copper mining and smelting sites, with evidence of copper production dating back more than 6,000 years (you can see the black slag stones in the picture, left behind by the ancient smelting process).

Inspired by the breathtaking landscapes of Timna, our Timna Brown shade reflects the warm, layered palette of the area. Its natural matte finish highlights the richness of the ceramic material, allowing the material itself to take center stage.

השנה אנחנו מציינים עשר שנות נישואין, ואולי חשוב מכך, שבע עשרה שנים שאנחנו יחד, בהן יצרנו אינסוף חוויות, עסק משותף, בית משותף, ושני ילדים מושלמים, וזה כבר כמה שנים שאנחנו נמצאים עמוק בתוך אוסף של ימים מורכבים, והזמן עובר, ואנחנו כבר בני ארבעים, אבל מאוהבים כאילו רק אתמול הכרנו.
