Conceived as a premium, multifunctional retreat designed to host intimate meetings as well as private family gatherings, this outhouse project elevates a modest architectural program into a refined destination. Rather than functioning as a secondary structure, the space is envisioned as a carefully crafted pavilion—one that foregrounds material integrity,
spatial continuity, and a deep connection to nature.

The design of the spa is grounded in a philosophy of serenity through natural harmony, expressed through a restrained palette of beige, sky blue, and wooden accents. The architecture embodies calmness and warmth, drawing inspiration from Japandi style architecture, that combines the simplicity, natural elements, and tranquillity of Japanese design with the functionality, comfort, and clean lines of Scandinavian design. This is evident from the clean lines, neutral colour palettes, natural materials like wood and linen, high-quality craftsmanship, and a focus on functional, uncluttered spaces that bring a sense of calm and balance to a space.

The Treatment Rooms are designed as cocoons of calm insulated acoustically, furnished in wood and linen-textured wallpapers. Soft, sky-blue accent walls behind treatment beds evoke the serenity of open skies, while indirect lighting reinforces the sense of enveloping tranquillity.
A layered approach is employed — soft ambient illumination, and focused task lighting converge to create a rhythm. Indirect concealed LED strips highlight textures subtly, ensuring every corner feels luminous but never harsh. The colour temperature of light transitions from warm white in relaxation zones to cooler tones near hydrotherapy areas, reinforcing psychological comfort and natural harmony.

Rooted in the rich cultural heritage of India, yet elevated by a contemporary lens, the interior celebrates both opulence and simplicity, offering a dynamic yet soothing environment for its residents.

The living room, the first space encountered upon entering, is a balanced amalgamation of comfort and elegance. The space is anchored by an intricate, handcrafted textured accent wall that evokes the charm of traditional Indian craftsmanship. The textured wall features a geometric pattern that adds a sense of rhythm and flow to the room.
The colour palette is warm and inviting, dominated by earthy tones like terracotta, beige and deeper shades of orange, inspired by India’s rich cultural heritage. These hues are balanced with dark wood and cooler tones of ivory and white, offering a contemporary touch. Traditional Indian textiles such as block-printed curtains, plush rugs, and handwoven throws subtly adorn the space, contributing both texture and cultural depth.

The layout of the apartment focuses on spatial fluidity and openness, ensuring an airy and well-ventilated atmosphere. Upon entry, the visitor is greeted by a spacious living room that sets the tone for the home’s design philosophy.

The Mandir and dining area continues the theme of refined elegance. A statement wooden and tile dining table, crafted from reclaimed Indian hardwood, anchors the room.
The surrounding chairs, upholstered in combination of same orange tones and patterned fabric, are complemented by the modern wall light.
The use of metal, glass and wood as materials creates a harmonious balance between modernity and tradition. The design ensures that the dining area remains functional while also reflecting the cultural richness.
