Some of the most effective design solutions are the ones that disappear into the architecture.

For this media room, the wall does much more than frame the television. Hidden within it are discreet entrances to a study and a washroom, allowing the space to remain visually clean while supporting multiple functions.

When functionality is integrated rather than added, a home feels intuitive, uncluttered, and effortless to use.

A family living room should be designed around how people use it, not just how it looks.

For this space, comfort became the starting point. The seating proportions and backrest angles were developed through discussions with the family, ensuring they support long conversations, everyday relaxation, and the needs of multiple generations.

Material choices followed the same approach. Live-edge wood introduces warmth, exposed brick adds texture, and an open TV unit keeps the space visually light without relying on excessive storage. Together, these elements create a living room that prioritises comfort, functionality, and a cohesive material language.

Not every piece in a home needs to be designed from scratch.

For this foyer, we chose to work with an antique console and adapt it to the space rather than replace it.
The restoration involved repairing damaged sections, refining the detailing where required, and developing a finish that sits comfortably within the home’s overall material palette.

Sometimes, the design process is less about introducing something new and more about recognising the value of what already exists and finding the right way to make it belong.

Design inspiration doesn’t always come from architecture. Sometimes it comes from the crafts that have shaped our cultural landscape for generations.

For this home, we reinterpreted the traditional wooden printing block, typically associated with textile printing, as an architectural detail within the sliding door. Once completed, the wood polish will enhance the carved motifs, allowing the craftsmanship to become an integral part of the home’s material language.

Beyond its visual character, the door remains highly functional, connecting adjoining spaces while introducing a subtle reference to Indian craft traditions in a contemporary setting.

Flooring was one of the key elements used to establish continuity across the home. Rather than treating it as a surface finish, we used it to define movement, create transitions, and reinforce the overall material language.

Kota stone forms the primary flooring throughout the house, offering durability, timelessness, and a natural character. At the entrance, a rough Kota herringbone insert acts as a visual runner, drawing attention towards the large window and subtly guiding movement through the open-plan layout.

To further unify the spaces, we introduced a consistent border detail using Udaipur Green and Jaisalmer stone. This combination is repeated in the skirting and reinterpreted across different rooms, allowing the same materials to create distinct expressions while maintaining a cohesive design language throughout the home.

Designing for pets isn’t about adding accessories to a finished home. It’s about acknowledging them as everyday users of the space from the very beginning.
For this home, pet requirements were considered at the planning stage itself, from circulation and access to storage and maintenance. The objective was to ensure that these functions were fully integrated into the architecture, allowing the home to support both human and pet routines without compromise.
The most successful pet-friendly homes are the ones where these solutions feel invisible, working quietly in the background while becoming a natural part of everyday life.

Designing a home means understanding everyone who lives in it, including the pets.

For this project, we planned the interiors around the family’s daily routines as well as the needs of their pets. Integrated pet doors allow easy movement throughout the home, while dedicated spaces for water stations, food storage, and supplies were designed into the layout from the beginning.

Litter areas are concealed within cabinetry using discreet access doors, keeping them functional without impacting the overall aesthetic. By considering these requirements early in the design process, they become a seamless part of the home instead of an afterthought.
