On World Architecture Day, I’m feeling grateful (and a little nostalgic).
I still remember the magic of a perfect line drawn with a Rotring pen
The smell of ink.
The weight of the T-square.
The hours spent chasing one clean elevation by hand.
Today?
I work with AI that can generate options in minutes, test daylight & energy in real time, and push forms I might never have imagined alone.
But here’s the truth that never changes:
The architect’s eye still decides.
The heart still chooses what feels right.
The responsibility to create spaces that truly serve people remains ours.
Technology is a powerful new tool in our kit — never a replacement for vision, judgment, or craft.
