It’s the small design details that quietly break the overall look.

Here are a few things designers instantly notice:

• Harsh white lighting instead of warm layered lighting
• Plain ceilings with exposed fixtures
• Visible wires around the TV unit
• Curtain rods instead of concealed tracks
• Curtains that stop above the floor
• Random spotlight placement on ceilings
• Very small rugs that don’t anchor the furniture
• Switchboards placed without alignment
• Wall art hung too high
• Empty corners with no visual balance

Simple upgrades that instantly elevate a space:

– Use warm lighting (around 3000K) for a softer atmosphere
