10 years in the industry and I’ve learned a thing or two! Here are my top 3 takeaways:

🌼Trust Your Gut : Don’t compromise on your values and expertise. If a client isn’t a good fit, it’s okay to say no.

🌼 Sweat the Small Stuff : Details matter! Ensure every recommendation, material, and finish aligns with your client’s needs and budget.

🌼 Prioritize Client Experience : Word-of-mouth referrals are gold! Focus on delivering exceptional client experiences to build trust, loyalty, and a thriving business.

Elements we incorporated into this master bedroom design:

🌼End-to-end wardrobe for tonnes of storage: We designed a spacious wardrobe that runs from one end of the room to the other, providing ample storage for clothes, shoes, and accessories.

🌼A subtle shade of green on the wall for a calming effect: We chose a soft, muted green for the accent wall to create a calming and serene atmosphere in the bedroom.

🌼An end-to-end back panel for the bed to define the space: We added a back panel that runs the length of the bed, helping to define the sleeping area and create a sense of separation from the rest of the room.

The green accent wall is still a work in progress. We suggested adding family pictures in IKEA frames to complete the look and make the space feel more personal and inviting.

From mom duties to design deadlines, life’s been a beautiful chaos lately! Some days I’m juggling tantrums and timelines, while others I’m drowning in diapers and design briefs. But despite the crazy busy days, I’m grateful for every opportunity to grow, learn, and create.

Being a solo mompreneur tests my emotional, physical, and mental bandwidth daily. There are moments I doubt my ability to balance it all, but then I look at my little one’s smile or see a design come to life, and it all becomes worth it.

Our Bangalore project is almost ready to shine! I can’t wait to share the final reveal with you all. It’s been a labor of love, and I’m proud of what we’ve accomplished.

Thanks for being my rock, my support system, and my tribe. Your encouragement and understanding mean the world to me!

Currently working on bathroom details and these are the points we have learnt over the past 10 years of designing homes

🌼 invest in a highlighter tile but majorly keep your tile selection simple. Remember you will see this first thing in the morning for the upcoming few years 😊
🌼 good lightning is the key in a bathroom. Task lighting makes sense here and you do not need to fill the bathroom with light. We balance white light and natural light and warm light in bathrooms too because obviously you don’t want your husband to go wrong while he’s shaving his face 😬
🌼 check the slopes and grouts. We all invest in waterproofing and end up putting the local grouting material which creates a mess 8/9 years down the line. Your neighbours house will have leakages or your walls will have leakage. Invest in epoxy grout. 🙏
