Part 4 | The Kitchen Detail Most People Forget 👀

A beautiful kitchen is not enough — it also needs to breathe.

In this kitchen, we paid special attention to ventilation and airflow, because good kitchen design is about more than just cabinets and finishes.

The placement of windows, ventilation points and the cooking zone was carefully planned to make the space more comfortable, functional and practical for everyday living.

Because the details you don’t notice are often the ones that make the biggest difference.

Gowda Residence | Kitchen — Part 2

Continuing the kitchen tour of our Gowda Residence. ✨

In Part 2, we take a closer look at how we balanced function, storage and aesthetics to make the kitchen feel seamless with the rest of the home.

For me, a good kitchen isn’t just about how beautiful it looks — it’s about how effortlessly it works for the people using it every day.

Every detail was designed with that thought in mind. 🤍

This beautiful private terrace of a 4,000 sq. ft. residence has come alive with bursts of colour, giving the space a lot of character.

We played with colour through vitrified tiles in different sizes, creating a space that feels vibrant yet thoughtfully designed. What was once just an outdoor area has now become an integral part of the home.

I personally believe that every home should be a reflection of the people who live in it. We strive to achieve exactly that for our clients bringing their personalities, stories and lifestyle into every corner we design.

This 4,800 sq. ft. residence is set within the dense urban fabric of West Bengaluru and is a reflection of how modern contemporary living can be thoughtfully adapted to a tropical design context.

Designed for a family spanning multiple generations, the home brings together a parents’ bedroom, children’s bedrooms, and a master suite, with each zone carefully designed around its specific needs, lifestyle, and age group.

1.The living area occupies almost half of the floor plate. The clients envisioned a home inspired by the warmth of traditional Indian joint families, a generous space where family gatherings, celebrations, and get-togethers could naturally come together.

2.The design also draws from the family’s deeply rooted traditions, particularly the age old practice of sitting and eating on the floor. This idea has been reinterpreted through the staircase wall, creating a built-in seating space that can be used in multiple ways from casual family conversations to relaxed gatherings and everyday moments.

3.The material palette brings together warm wood tones and natural marble, creating a sense of warmth and a strong connection with nature. These natural materials, combined with contemporary forms and detailing, allow the home to carry the essence of tropical living while remaining modern, functional, and relevant to the way the family lives today.

The Heart of the House — The Kitchen - Part 1

Here comes the kitchen designed for a family of five, where every element was thoughtfully planned around the way they live.

The island serves multiple purposes a space for quick meals and everyday dining, a dedicated preparation area, along with integrated storage. Every zone, from cooking to cleaning, has been carefully planned to make the kitchen functional and seamless.

Terrace Area

The last-floor half plate was thoughtfully transformed into a vibrant, semi-open terrace designed to become an integral part of our clients’ everyday lives.

From the beginning, we knew we wanted this space to feel lively, colourful, and different from the rest of the home. Vibrant colours and patterns were introduced through Moroccan tiles on the flooring and patterned wall tiles, creating a playful yet cohesive visual language.

To maintain the semi-open character of the terrace while ensuring privacy and protection, the entire space is enclosed with MS laser-cut screens, topped with toughened glass. This allows natural light and ventilation to flow through while creating a comfortable and private outdoor environment.

The terrace has been planned as an extension of the home rather than simply an outdoor space. A dedicated seating area allows the family to sit, unwind, and spend time together, while a separate plantation zone brings greenery into the space and softens the vibrant architectural elements.

The result is a terrace that is colourful, private, functional, and connected to the everyday life of the home.

A staircase is something we use every day, but with the right design, it can become one of the most beautiful corners of a home.

For this space, we kept the design clean and simple. Soft lighting adds warmth, the wall panels create subtle detail without making the space feel busy, and the brass birds bring in a small artistic touch that makes the wall feel alive.

The staircase with marble steps and a wooden handrail completes the look, making the space feel open, bright, and welcoming.

Sometimes, good design isn’t about adding more—it’s about making simple details stand out.
