The planning of Mungo organises the space into two distinct yet visually connected food concepts — a relaxed café for coffee and slow meals, and a quicker lunch counter for those on the move. A glass block wall mediates between them, balancing separation with permeability. It filters light, softens views, and quietly binds the two zones together.
A curved in-situ concrete bench traces this partition, integrating pockets of planting that temper the robustness of the materials. A subtle arched opening in the brick wall offers framed glimpses across spaces, reinforcing the dialogue between connection and pause.
Earth-toned finishes, seamless textured walls, and exposed structural ceilings create a grounded, cohesive interior. These honest surfaces anchor the café in warmth and restraint, allowing the spatial experience to lead. Photographs-
