90% of Indian kitchens have this problem.
Nobody talks about it.

The countertop sink.

Looks clean in the showroom.
Becomes a problem in 6 months.

Here is why.

In India, we lift vessels and pour water directly.
That rim where sink meets granite?
Water sits there every single day.

The silicon seal fails within a year.
Water seeps under the granite.
Cabinet base gets wet daily.
Mould grows where you cannot see it.
Plywood swells. Cabinet rots.

By year 3, the entire under-sink cabinet
needs replacing.

The fix is simple.
Undermount the sink.
No rim. No joint. No moisture trap.

This detail costs nothing extra to get right.
But costs a lot to fix later.

We have specified undermount sinks in every
kitchen we have designed for 10+ years.
Not because it looks better.
Because it works better for how Indians actually cook.
