Interior Design Series /05

The client’s brief demanded a workplace that mirrors the aesthetics, standards, and character of the company consistently across the entire building. Instead of treating this as a surface-level branding exercise, we explored the core identity source—the logo. The overall design inspiration is drawn from the architectural approach of Kerry Hill, renowned globally for employing slender, closely packed wooden elements to evoke warmth and create a dynamic interplay of natural light and shadow, ultimately producing serene yet powerful spaces. Materials chosen for this project primarily consist of natural elements such as wood, stone flooring, concrete panels, and prominently, rattan and cane. These materials were meticulously selected for their sustainability credentials, aesthetic quality, and ability to evoke warmth and elegance. Biophilic design principles were incorporated through the addition of a lush green wall on one side of the lobby, illuminated by specialized grow lights. The careful integration of these materials and colours cultivates an ambiance of sophisticated elegance while reinforcing sustainable strength, contributing to the overall sense of refined warmth and tranquillity within the space.

We are overjoyed to share that our colleague Ar. Shubha and her team have received the Honourable Mention in the international competition ’Elevated Communities- A Vertical Village Design Challenge’ hosted by Archiol.

Their work will also be published in their magazine.
